This website is owned and operated by The Stage Group Limited t/a StageLamps and has been in continual use since 2009.
For the avoidance of any doubt our only online presences are this site, stagelamps.co.uk, and thestagegroup.co.uk.
It has come to our attention there are a number of other sites trading with very similar names to our own, and indeed we've received enquiries regarding undelivered orders and other problems from their customers who erroneously believe they ordered from us.
Be confident who you're buying from.

All eCommerce sites should have a secure (https://) URL when on any page that asks you to sign in or asks for any of your personal information or credit card details. Whilst this isn't strictly a requriement for anything other than card data, any company which values their customers' data and privacy will use https:// where possible.

It is a legal requirement of the Companies Act and EU eCommerce Directives for us to display our Company Number and VAT Registration number on every page of our website, any website not meeting this requirement is breaking the law.

If a company doesn't have a VAT registration, then their turnover is under £79,000 per annum, also if you are buying as a VAT registered business you are unable to claim VAT on these purchases.

Be wary of any clearly standard Terms and Conditions, which use vague phrases such as "The site owner can be contacted at the email address on this sites contact page", as these are most often stores provided by free web hosting companies.
- If an online store only accepts PayPal, this may be because they do not meet the stringent requirements of PCI-DSS or have insufficient transaction volumes to justify the fees for merchant services.
We are the only StageLamps
There are many companies out there that sell stage lighting products with the word stage in their name as you would expect - Stage Lighting, Stage Electrics, Stage Technical Services etc - these are all reputable companies and, although we obviously would rather you ordered from us, they are all safe to deal with.
We have however been made aware of a number of websites that use the word "stagelamps" in violation of our own trademark. We are not responsible for information from these other organisations or websites, nor can we be responsible for any incorrect or missing products if you order from them.
